Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend :) Can't wait to hear about the recipes - I noticed on twitter you mentioned two vegan cookbooks I have been eyeing (Vegan Soul Kitchen & VEgan Table). I still eat meat, but am currently on a no-dairy diet, among other things, to figure out if I had a dairy allergy. So vegan cookbooks are totally interesting me these days :)
I'm going to post one from "The Vegan Table" later this afternoon. Such a fantastic cookbook! "Vegan Soul Kitchen" leaves a little bit to be desired (though there are some really good recipes in it), but it was $11 with my coupon, so I'll take it! Ha. "Veganomicon" is another good one.
I am about 98% vegetarian. I still eat some fish and I eat some dairy. I just like vegan cookbooks because I can make/eat all of the recipes inside, which is a rare occurrence for me!
sounds like a really nice, relaxing weekend. i had a sweet green tea from teaism when i was in dc this past time, super yummy! i'm glad to hear that you got a chance to slow down and enjoy your down time. you deserve it!
